Hi everyone, Sorry I've not been posting much lately. There has been such a lot going on for me, part of which is about not getting too dependent on the forums (and the wonderful ppl therein !).

My M.E. illness is weakening me a lot - wish I had the strength to tell you all about how it affects me. Lately, I feel nauseous most afternoons (I am at the moment saying hello and feeling sick !).

Today I washed up the dishes and handwashed 3 items of clothing. Now I feel sick. On Saturday I sewed for 1 hour and it happened again. Whoopee - doo !

So I hope you can understand I am very limited in what I can do - I have to pace myself and choose activities carefully.

Many of you flutter in and out of my mind during the day but I just can't communicate with you so much at the moment.

Better go, I will be around more soon, I hope. I want to be here for ppl. PC is my homepage so whenever the computer goes on, you are there !

saying hello and feeling sick ! exhausted, but thankfully not too depressed today (thankful for small mercies)

Hope you are all looking after selves, I don't forget you all saying hello and feeling sick !..............Poppet

It's good to see you writing again. I too wish you could write more often because I enjoy reading your posts, but I'm glad you're taking care of yourself first! I don't quite know where abouts in the UK you live (Sussex? Surrey?) but recently it has been such nice weather, and I hope you're able to go and sit out and enjoy it while it lasts!

saying hello and feeling sick ! Thanks for responding Jen, Silver, Darkeyes, Fuzzy and Wants2fly !

(((((((((((((hugs to all))))))))))))))

Silver - I live in Norfolk, you weren't far off saying hello and feeling sick !.

W2F - I could go on for ages about M.E. but I will try to do it as brief as poss (don't want to bore anyone saying hello and feeling sick !).

This is how it is for me, but because its a 'syndrome' (aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) it has lots of different symptoms and not everyone has them all.

Some ppl believe it has nothing to do with depression/the mind, and others (inc myself) feel it is related.

It can come on after a shock to the system (mine did) or after a virus. My main symptom is physical and mental exhaustion - not sleepiness, more 'in the bone and muscle'. Anything I do, from having a wash in the morning to posting on the forum, depletes the small amount of energy I have each day.

I have always got aching head, neck and back which fluctuates in pain each day. When I have had what I call a busy day (2 hours out of the house, for example) the symtoms get worse a day or so after. So balancing activities is what I have to do all the time.

I can't work, or socialise because of it. And in its turn it mixes in with my depression and can make that worse.

What a bundle of fun it is saying hello and feeling sick ! ! hmmm

The only 'cure' is rest, pacing yourself, counselling and antidepressants. I may always be like this now, or I may get better. No-one can say. Thats the hardest bit, not knowing.

Anyway, thanks for listening and I hope it will explain a bit about why I can't be here as much as I would like to.

saying hello and feeling sick ! Bye for now, take care, Poppet
