I have a bunch of problems that i am hoping some of you can help me with. Firstly, I am not all that happy myself, but I have a younger sis with depression, who is now having some major relationship problems with her partner ( she's a lesbian and her partner did some things with her ex-boyfriend that my sis cant handle). These problems are making her confused and sad, and I'm the only one she talks to about them. Any ideas how i can help her? My sis lives at home. She has tried hurting herself before and this worries my mom. So now, my mom cries everyday and has loss some major weight. Mom only talks to me about this. This, in turn, worries me and makes me all sleepless and withdrawn. Psych help and support is so hard to get where I am. Anyone can help me with some advise or support?

You, your mom, and your sister should see about going into therapy - that's the first thing that popped into my mind - it's hard to get where your from? You should check with your family physician and maybe they can refer you to a therapist. Meanwhile I suggest that you do something for yourself (manicure, massage, spending time alone, etc.). You totally deserve it - keep yourself safe hun.

You seem to be bearing a lot of weight on your shoulders. Your sister definitely needs to communicate with a therapist and/or a psychiatrist, and it would probably help you and your Mom, too.
If you can't get her to a therapist or a psychiatrist, maybe she could post here. She'll find that people here are understanding and supportive.

I don't know much about internet counseling, though I've heard of it. Does anyone else know if it's reliable?

lisamarie, check out the resource directory on this website. There may be some internet resources for counseling listed there.
