I dont think this is the right place but i am gonna do it here any way because this is where i always post

I might have a problem, i dont know really, with gorging my self with food.
Today i ate 2 eggs 2 packs of grits. 4 bisqits 2 cups of cofee 12 krispey cream donuts 4 or 5 bowls of beans a cpl bowls of soup cornbread, a half box of twinkies a slice of pizza a honeybun a kingsize kitkat bar about 8 sodas a ham sandwich a bag of sweetheat chips and a 32 oz cup of cajun boiled peanuts oh and 2 bowls of cherrios. That sure looks like a lot of food when i write it out thats what i can remember

I couldn't eat all this but i got a way of doing it . when i get full I throw up then i can eat more. I have been doing this for a while I started about 6 or 8 years ago small at first at holidays at buffets and really good meals. It has gotton more and more I bet I purged myself 15 times today

I wouldnt tell this to anyone but here because you know it just not something i would not tell people.
I will be going to the doctor for first time soon to get evaluated in my nuttieness and am wondering if i should tell him about this?
I am not sure if it really is a problem It doesn't hurt anyone , I dont do it to keep thin, I like to eat It makes me feel better I have no other means of dopimine stimulation no drugs smokes alcohol sex friends or much of anything really and the raccoon that lives out back really loves me

Iam not much of a writer I am so lazy I dont bother proofreading or corresting errors sorry about that if i was perfect I wouldn't be here anyway I just hope u can read it without hurting your eyes
Thanks for this!

I'll bet he does, LOL! *Daryl has a sense of humor despite everything; YAY Daryl!*

DepressedAlaskan has frequently offered the advice that people print out their posts from here to take to their therapists/doctors if they have trouble speaking to the doctors or remembering everything they need to cover. You might consider doing this. I saw my psychiatrist this past week and brought cut-and-pasted excerpts from my own posts to illustrate how I'm currently experiencing depression.

I wish you a productive meeting with the doctor!

This is a problem if you think it is... My mom, dad and I are guilty of "emotional" eating. (Although being on Adderall, me not so much). Bring it up to your doctor. Then you can decide if it's a problem.

Hang in there!

Rohag, you always have the most practical supportive comments! Love that!

Oh hon. I'm not the biggest expert on the topic, but it sounds like bulimia. The only real diference is as you said, you do it to feel better, not lose weight, yet in fact, most of the folks I know who gorge-purge, while they may not realize it at first, usually start to see that they are in fact doing much the same thing.

To see a real talk-doc and show him what you wrote is an excellent idea. Try also keeping track of when you tend to do this more and when it is less of a need. IF nothing else, you want to spare your teath from the stomache acids, and your throat will love you almost as much as the raccoon does now, I promise you

Yes, daryl, it is probably a problem. If so, it would no doubt be called Bulemia. Most bulemics do this to be thin, and I agree that you case is different, but I see your point and the feel good feeling of eating. With that, I can identify. It's a problem, because it interferes with good nutrition and is acidic on your teeth. Their are probably many other reasons why it's a problem. For example, suppose the stomach acid harms your esophagus and you get to where you can't purge? Oh, No ! You are right that you can tell this group anything and find good information. I am relatively uneducated, but we have some really, really knowledgeable people. At the bottom of most boards [pages] is something called a forum jump. You can use it to get to the eating disorders board and no doubt learn more. Identifying with you ~ billieJ

I agree that you should tell the doctor about this, it really sounds like a problem. Printing this post out is an excellent idea or you could write it down on a piece of paper and take it with you, you can then let the doctor read it.

I agree with what everyone has said. Bring this post with you and maybe some of the other posts too, to the doctor for "nuttiness" (that is funny).

Binging and Purging for whatever reason is not healthy for a great number of reasons.

Like I said, I agree with the other post. Mostly I wanted to reply just so I could give you hugs...

You have great courage, Daryl.
