I thought the evaluation would be simple, as I HAVE been feeling much better and have been consistently going to work unless I was sick with the flu *I'm going on flu meds starting today*.
This evaluation is to see if I can return to school in January. Apparently the evaluator is concerned because 1. I was FORCED off leave/she doesn't understand why 2. I "don't have sufficient support and am not on meds" The second one upsets me because I HAVE been going to therapy consistently, I am really trying to make therapy work. My therapist has not had availability so I have not been able to see her as much since returning to Rochester. I have an appointment with a NEW therapist with MORE availability for this reason on December 1st. Apparently because I'm not also taking meds this might not be enough. She thinks I don't care about therapy - I do. I tried to express this to her but apparently I didn't try hard enough. Apparently I needed to tell work I couldn't be there because of therapy - not possible financially AND they REQUIRE that I am consistent in my attendance to work in order to return to school ![]() So now I'm really nervous about how this will work out I REALLY want to get back in. I miss my cello, I miss going to class with my friends rather than going to work with people I don't really know and hand out food in bags just to BARELY scrape by financially, and have to wake up REALLY early in order to practice before my muscles ache from the heavy lifting I need to do at work. *scared face*

((((((turquoise sea)))))) can you get a letter from your old therapist that attests to you having visited her as regulaly as possible, and that you will be starting awith another therapist because of this? Does the evaluator have any clue of the financial situation? I think that it is fair to ask how you are supposed tell work that you are taking impossible time off for therapy and still keep the kind of attendance that they expect to go back to school? If you can manage to keep calm when asking these questions, then you might get some tips as well as alert the evaluator that things may have to be thought through again. It sounds so frustrating!!! I really wish you luck. Hugs in abundance!!!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you feel that you can't get your point across to the evaluator, does she have a superior you could speak to, or possibly write to, in order to explain? It sounds to me like she doesn't really get what's going on in your life. Also, what about speaking to your doctor and/or therapist about having them write a letter of recommendation that you return to classes? Alternatively, have your boss explain to this evaluator what the attendance policy is like at your job to confirm that you can't miss any more work. Not sure if any of those suggestions are feasible but I thought I'd throw them out there. ![]() ![]()

I remember you saying how difficult your situation with school was, but I guess it's more difficult than I had thought. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. Geez, who are these people that have so much control over your schooling? And how did they come to have that much control? Are you on a scholarship program that required you to sell your mortal soul? It sounds kind of ridiculous that they are making it this difficult for you. If you are in the US (I think you are) you may want to consider checking in with an attorney and filing a discrimination complaint. By placing such high demands on you, such as needing to be at work all the time, and on meds, and in therapy...they are exacerbating your disorder/illness and causing you more harm and whatever program that they have you in to supposedly "help" you seems to be doing more damage than good. If it were me in your position, I might be beginning to think that they didn't want to re-instate me and that they were making it more difficult intentionally in an attempt to make you worse to keep you out. I hope you are able to get past this. I know you are limited geographically, but this can't be the only school for you to study your Cello? Take care!! ![]()
