What is it that you feel that you have been selfish about?

It is sad to say but every single human being in the world is pretty self-centered. The most we can do is just keep nibbling away at our natural-born selfishness. Never give up trying to be better than we have been.

I guess I feel selfish because I have a Friend who is going through alot and 99 percent of me will do whatever I can to help him . I will be there for him always, His well being means the world to me. There was some stuff that happened and I got hurt emotionally, not his fault and not intentional at all, I know its not his fault at all, its not about me, its him, but sometimes I get upset saying Why Did you do this? I know sounds awful, I swear my heart forgives him, and only wants to help him. So why do I think that at all? I also feel selfish cause there are people in this world who have it much much worse.I am down on myself

(((((Feelingsad)))))) Hon, beating yourself up about it isn't the answer. It will make your own problems worse and give your friend the wrong message. I knwo I can be very difficult when I am depressed, and that I will, if permitted, say and do very hurtfull things to other people. I see that there is a difference between being understanding and allowing oneself to be hurt unnecessarily. Whether or not anyone has it worse than you is irrelevant.
You know when peple get depressed they have a way of turning everything to a further reason to dislike themselves, or to consider themselves to be attacked. This can be very hard for you, since you haven't been having the easierst time, either, hon.
Try talking to him anyway, explain that you felt hurt, and apologize if you think your reaction was over the top, but don't wallow, dear. That will only make it worse for both of you. Just my two cents. Take very good care of yourself, and good luck. HUUUUUUGGGGGGS

Thank You lonegal! Your words really mean alot, After thinking it over the past 2 days, I realized I dont care if I got hurt emotionally. Hope this comes out right, Of course I care about myself and taking care of myself, and it hurts I wont lie but in my heart I just wanna help him, you have to llok at the whole pic and I realized I know him, What type of person he is and I know he never hurt me on purpose, It wasnt his fault, he is struggling with things, The Greater pic is Even with what happened, to Be there for him because thats what friends do for each other. Through thick and thin, pain and happiness. Im not going anywhere.
Thanks for this!
