I think the depression has turned into numb, at this afternoon it has.

It's like I my emotions just can't take it anymore and they have just gone into numb mode.

Just very flat and unemotional.

Can anyone relate?

Yes, at least I think I can relate.

I am generally flat and unemotional. In the wake of one of my "episodes" I almost always become deeply withdrawn and numb, floored (often literally) and mute.

((((((((Berries)))))))))

I have days like that. It's like my brain can't process my feelings anymore so that part of me just shuts down. Sending lots of hugs.

Hi (((((Berries))))))

I have definitely experienced the numb feeling (or lack there of). It is almost always a part of my depression sequence. I'm haven't been able to figure out if there is a pattern for me, but it always shows up. Good luck.
Thanks for this!

Yes pretty lethargic day today, doesn't feel like an absolutely terrible day, but certainly there's no smile on my face....

Hang in there.

I think I am there too, just numb lately, I would never hurt myself, life is way too precious, but its hard to feel happy lately with how thingsare now. What helps is Hoping that things will get better in the future, just dont have it in me now to smile, not there.
Thanks for this!

Hey Berries,
yes I have had this feeling a few times in the last few years. I have a great feeling this is your minds way of protecting itself from harm. It's a weird feeling too, especially if you have people counting on you like I do. When I was like this, I kind of went into 'robot mode' - I did all that was expected of me, but my heart wasn't in it.
December is a difficult month for many people and that could be another reason you're going into protective mode. You just need to keep being good to yourself - taking your medication, eating extra healthy, and exercising even when you don't feel like it. Also laugh when ever you have the chance - watch some funny movies or shows. You need something to break that mundane mood and humor can do this. Do something silly to make someone else laugh. I noticed your posts are written in very light grey ink - I suppose symbolic of your mood. Just a tip though - my eyes aren't a good as they used to be - any lighter, I won't be able to read your posts LOL. I hope the next time I read your post it will be bright orange or green. Take good care Berries
