I am always depressed because I dont have any friends to hang out with, I am a really nice person but I dont have a job or go to school to meet new people, what are some ways I can socialize more and meet new people to have friends.

What interests do you have? Maybe there is a club you can join.

A club, or voluntary work, online, or through penfriend networks are some good ways

Is there any type of craft you enjoy or think you might enjoy?
Painting? Beading? Welding? Knitting? Mosaic?
You can find others who enjoy it too.
Any types of books you like to read?
Novels? Biographies? Sci-Fi?

If you look within yourself for your interests... you can find others who share them.

Elana is right. I've met many new friends through Meetup. Give it a try!

Don't be ashamed with the idea of having Internet friends. I have made more friends online than face-to-face, really.
