Having a hard day today.
I woke up with a cold and sore throat.
For some odd reason when I start to get sick, I get restless instead of feeling like resting...

I'm done with my pity party and had to delete...

to you all.

E

I feel the same, as if, I have more of a life when I'm working. Starbucks is not a bad job, I worked there myself. It is great you are looking into both therapy and alanon, sounds like you know you matter and have worth..for me, I have mental health diagnosis and VESID helped me find a job...there are other programs in our community to get people back to work as well...apply everywhere?? write more, i care

Hi, Elana05
I woke up with a cold and sore throat yesterday as well... and have already had quite enough of being sick! I didn't see your post before you deleted (you don't have to self-censor... its just us! We're not going to judge you!) but it makes sense that if you are sick on top of everything else, that this would make things harder. For me, being physically sick makes it quite a bit more challenging not to get caught up in some really negative patterns of thinking... I'm not sure if my brain can always seperate the different varieties of yuckiness. Plus, when I'm sick, its all I can do to sleep and drag myself to work, and I'm not really doing self-care stuff like going for walks, playing my guitar, or doing much of anything.

Be extra kind to yourself. Thinking of you.

Garden Gal
