It sucks your power. It infiltrates your brain. It stops you from doing what is good and important in order to gain footing in this difficult world.

How do you manage day-to-day tasks when you are being pulled under?

How do you stand up for yourself when you cant see a strong road ahead but only a crumbling path?
Thanks for this!

You said this so well. that's exactly how I've felt

You have to walk so blindly. You HAVE to trust in the fact that others have been there and they have gotten out. I can personally attest to that. You have to take little tiny steps and keep trying and trying.

Do you have a therapist? Have you talked to a doctor and had some routine tests done?

I was in therapy for two years to deal with depression amongst other disorders I have. The only thing that helps is keeping busy and being productive. If I talk with a friend about depression I wind up getting more depressed. I'm on medication that really helps.

Yay Prozac and Xanax!!!

But it isn't a cure.

Being clinically depressed, Medication IS the answer for me. And it might be for you too! I'm on Cymbalta twice a day 120mg total. You don't need a psychiatrist either - your doctor can prescribe this for you, or any drug for depression. Please talk to your doctor. He/she can help you!! You shouldn't be suffering like this. God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee

So true!
You meander around trying to find the right path and waiting in fear the last little glimmer of hope will finally be snuffed out.

Aww hugs little frog I do have some answers since I've been thinking a lot about solutions lately.

I think you need to surround yourself with people who love you. Sometimes this is hard to find because finding love in any form (romance, friendship etc.) is difficult. But the first thing you can do is start spending more time with those that do care for you. Even if it's just one person. Then think of things you can do to make that persons life better.

I agree. You can only hold the hand of someone you trust and walk along.

Know that there's a bright future lying ahead-- usually, inspirational movies really help with these feelings.
