I've been dealing with depression for the last few years. I saw a therapist for about a year and a half who gave me some goods tips for when I'm feeling down. I try to stay busy and active but this time of year is always hard. Most of my family and friends don't live nearby anymore so I miss them. I feel so lonely that we're not together for the holidays. This is supposed to be the happiest time of the year but I usually feel horrible. I figured maybe some online support would help me through my blahness.

I"m feeling blah at this time of year as well, I agree with Phoenix that maybe volunteering may be of help to you.

In depression . . . faith in deliverance, in ultimate restoration, is absent. The pain is unrelenting, and what makes the condition intolerable is the...feeling felt as truth...that no remedy will come -- not in a day, an hour, a month, or a minute. . . . It is hopelessness even more than pain that crushes the soul.-William Styron |
