Today has been a horrible day, depression wise. Nothing out of the ordinary really. It just... is, yah know?
Anyway, I was invited to this party for a group at my school called Lifesavers that I'm supposedly a part of. I got to thinking, why bother? Why bother when it's just an elitist program that after the retreat, the members only care about those who they think are elite and I'm not one of them? The thing is, the only person who actually has even cared about me even just a fraction is the sponsor of it and I know that at the end of the year, he has to leave me. Why does all the few people who actually care about me have to leave me? Why does no one stay with me? Because I could really use someone to care about me. I really do. |

I know I had almost the exact same question some time ago. You find a person that is a true friend, and then life takes them away from you. It sucks. I'm the kind of person that has close friendships, I hate anything else, so when I lose someone it hurts like hell. Go to this event, for the heck of it, at least for one last time together w/your friend. Who cares what anyone else thinks, you're going for your friend.
You will find other people that care about you. Although they are sometimes hard to find, when you do find them they will be all the more precious. Hang in there. ![]()

Is this something you would feel comfortable discussing with the Sponsor? It's not too early to consider arranging for "continuity of care" after his departure.
