Just wondering if any of you go to any peer support groups? And if you go what do you find helpful about them? I have been going to weekly DBSA meetings, not sure if they are helping me much or not but it does give me an excuse to be out and doing something.

Hi, Mike_J! I regret that, as a recluse and non-driving individual, I do not belong to any self-help groups (apart from PsychCentral, that is). Consequently I am unable to answer your question. Nevertheless, I am able to offer this empty, overly wordy reply, which will bump you back up to the top of the queue.

Hi Mike ~ I don't know if this counts, but I belong to AA. It sure does help, as I have 17 years clean/sober. LOL I know this isn't probably what you meant, but it's the only peer support group I go to. LOL And I don't go often anymore cause I'm a chronic pain patient, and sitting that long isn't an option. OUCH. That's why I get online and check these sites out.

Maybe if your group isn't helping, try another group - if there is one. Best of luck & God bless. Hugs, Lee
