So after seeing T for the 2nd time this week. So I have been having issues(always have) with sui. i scraped by tuesday somehow and didnt end up in the hospital...same goes for wed. with T. So today I go in with a typed out page of my history with sui. And instead of being sent to hospital I get the possibilty of a new diagnosis OCD...but she has to and is going to talk to pdoc and see what she thinks. However T seemed pretty confident that was it.
I left today feeling some relief that it appears I may get a hopefully longer lasting relief when this gets treated. However now that it has had time to set in more...Im pissed because of the realization she may truly be right just based on the noticings of today since the appt. Im so mad im nearly in tears. When do the diagnoses stop coming and the recovery/healing really begin???????????? I mean truly truly begin! |

The tricky thing is that so many of these disorders have the same symptoms and it is not until our T's or pdoc's gather a pile of information that they are able to discern between them to give us an accurate diagnosis. Once accurately diagnosed though, the healing can begin. Meds and therapy targeting diagnosis specific issues can become our goal instead of random hit and miss hoping for the best outcomes. I hope the best for you.

Sorry everything is so unsettled for you now. Probably whatever was going on in terms of your treatment could have been of benefit even though your T thinks your diagnosis should be adjusted. So don't feel like it was a total waste of time and effort. Think of yourself as sliding down a funnel...when you get to the narrow part, you will be more focused in your efforts to get better and when you finally drop through, you will have achieved what you want. Maybe you are just on the rim where it starts to really get better!
