While a number of studies in recent years have found toddlers -- and even babies -- can suffer from major depressive disorder, doctors have debated whether preschool depression was an isolated blip in a child's development or a sign of future problems.
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/MindMoo...8241213&page=1 this study may be helpful to moms who are concerned re their children. ironically i can remember being depressed as far back in my childhood as i can remember. beginning my teens it had a stronghold. later i was diagnosed bipolar with depressive tendacies.

I think it will be interesting to watch this, see where it goes. Could be a good breakthrough to help people like you, madisgram, before they get to their teens with all the additional hormones and problems teens have.
