one thing that was hard on my son the first time he was in foster care was that he had to understand his coming home was not my choice to make. There were two lawyers, two therapists, a judge, the DHS case worker, and the CRB (citizen Review Board) involved. All those reports on my son and I had to match stating it was ok and in his best interest to be allowed to return home. My son now is in a residential treatment program. He will not be coming home until he is 18 because the states one year time limit ran out. Though reports on my side of the case say I am ready for visitation, his side does not so there is no visitation as of yet. It isn't up to your mother whether or not you come home and stay home. All the official reports on your mother and you must match and recommend your return. right now they are matching for passes home and visitation. If things continue improving the reports at some point may show that you can safely be returned home. Good luck and great job earning the weekend and holday passes home. They are hard to earn.

I wish I knew what to say to help you, but I just don't. I do want you to know that I care, though. PM me if you ever want to talk, ok? I'm here ready to listen no matter what.

I'm sorry you are going through so much pain right now. I know how much you need your family, I really do. It may not seem like your mom cares or understands, but I'm sure if you sat down and talked one on one with her and asked her how she felt, you would find out she really does care. But I don't think she can really do anything about it at this point. Maybe that's why she seems like she doesn't care...because there's nothing she can do to change the situation.

Hang in there. We're all here for you.
