I'm feeling the worst I've felt in a long time. I've just gone beyond the typical depression state I'm sometimes in, to being so sad i'm lying in bed unable to move, unable to talk, and unable to cry. Why does my boyfriend not understand? I told him last night about my doctors appt to discuss my emotions and he said "you aren't depressed, that's after months of feeling low" - he doesn't even know what's been happening to me then.

Please does anyone know of anything I can do tonight to get out of this rut??

Spiralling out of control...

I'm not sure about any quick happy fix but I would suggest using distractions for now. Take your mind off it as much as you can by doing things that you would normally enjoy, listen to music, do some writing, anything to take the focus off the sadness. It is good that you have a doctor's appointment, hopefully they will point you in the right direction for talking therapy and medication if needed. Take care of you.
