I took a weekend trip with my husband and kids yesterday. We went to a gorgeous National park to see the historical sites and hike. While hiking, I realized that all of my troubles were melting away, and I remembered how to live again.

Now I'm just trying to hold onto that feeling. Any ideas for a good reminder to do this? I think I will need that reminder daily for awhile.

The only thing I've got to help is to just remember to live for the day. If you know things make you happy, do more of it. If it doesn't, do less.

I'm glad you had a good day! How has today been?
Thanks for this!

That's great, Jen. And, yes, Xando, living for the day is the best maxim you can have.

I have mainly done this today as well and it's been lovely - having been to a one-day conference was stimulating and interesting and has reminded me of actually liking studies and work in the past. Watching the sky and cloud formations from the train in the evening felt special, too.
It makes such a difference even if some people annoyed me again just now. It doesn't matter. I will hold on to the beautiful moments of today.

Thank you for this thread, Jen, and the reminder to live!
