I overheard my husband on the phone with his mom. They were talking about going to the knee doctor tomorrow. She is a nurse and has her own knee problems so she wants to go with him because she understands all that stuff. Well there is me assuming they are plotting to meet with a divorce lawyer to get the ball rolling on his leaving me. I know its irrational but how do i stop feeling like this?

Hello, Alwaysrejoice!

I do not know how you can stop feeling your feelings. You may be able to create an environment in which those feelings have less force by
  • obtaining reliable information on your husband's intentions, and
  • gaining insight into your worry patterns and tendency to worry.
Depending on the severity of the anxiety, I can also imagine a professional possibly prescribing anti-anxiety medication for use on a regular or as-needed basis. (Does one of your current meds have a primary or secondary anti-anxiety use?)

Is it irrational? Has your husband (or mother-in-law) given you any reason he's thinking about divorce? No need to answer; these are things to consider.

Thanks Rohag. I was just put on Klonipin recently. It doesnt seem to help much. My husband has told me repeatedly that he is not going to leave me, i think he is sick of me asking him. I guess that is just my worst fear.
Thanks for this!
