Hi
I week before my birthday, I started feeling more depressed than usual. I did not want my birthday to come. I was really negative about the whole thing. My mind kept saying ''your another year closer to death,'' which made me even more depressed. I don't like to think about death, so it really hurt me that I was thinking like that. Any who, I was just wondering if anyone else has ever gotten this way around their birthday? |

When I turned 40 a million years ago, it was a downer for me....but now I am o.k. with birthdays. I think maybe you should look at every birthday as a new beginning, a chance to change, to grow, to explore....
Hugs;

I get depressed around my birthday for the opposite reason. I wanted to be dead by my 21st birthday so I was extremely upset when I wasnt. So every birthday after that is just a sign of failure for not having reached my goal, another year of having lived this miserable life. I kinda stopped counting at 28. Im either 48 or 49 now. i would have to count backward from my birth year to know which one. i dont even celebrate it.
