Could your struggles be due to the fact that your meds are NOT working for you?
Oftentimes this can be the the case and meds need to be tweaked or changed entirely. We can also tend to focus on our struggles/problems so much that we fail to see that this focus is exactly the reason that we continue to struggle and fight so hard. We ARE going to have struggles and problems, but we must develop a HOPE that as we fight our depression that we will also find ways of coping/managing these battles. Please explain more of what is going on in your life that cause these struggles, and maybe, just maybe we can find a more definitive answer that helps you to have some hope again. I'm here, and I care.

Hi Sky
I struggled and thought I had tried everything for over thirty years, caught in the bottom of the deepest darkest pit of despair. I thought I would never find a way out. But somehow, the right dosage of the right medication and therapy at the right time, wow, that magic wand I had been searching for. I havent been depressed for over two years now. Havent taken an antidepressant for over a year and still doing well. Dont give up hope. the Miracle can happen.......Welcome to PC. |

Yes that's what I was thinking.

In depression . . . faith in deliverance, in ultimate restoration, is absent. The pain is unrelenting, and what makes the condition intolerable is the...feeling felt as truth...that no remedy will come -- not in a day, an hour, a month, or a minute. . . . It is hopelessness even more than pain that crushes the soul.-William Styron |
