I had been doind ok until the last couple of weeks. My life has become so hopeless, so frustraiting and draining. I'm tried of constantly trying to feel better when it never works.
I am losing insurance as of the end of the year. This will mean no more therapy, dbt groups, or med. I can't handle it.
Wanting really badly to SI, and having some scary suicidal thoughts too, not going to act on them, but afraid they will wear me down...

Does your state have some kind of program for people who can't afford insurance?

Most drug companies have programs for low cost or free drugs. You should contact your doctor's office and they will have which programs are offered.

I checked the one med that I am on, but because I will still have some insurance coverage, I don't qualify (The coverage I will have will still have prohbitively expensive copays)

Hey nicoleb2.

Suicidal thoughts are terrible. They come when you just can't cope with life anymore.

When I was suicidal some years ago, I did exercise and fitness quite a lot. They made me feel better on the inside and outside, gave me hope for a better life, and they took my mind of depressing thoughts.

Have you ever tried this?
Thanks for this!

Severijn has a good point. when you are depressed it is hard to start moving but once you do, it can help you settle your thoughts and increase all the good brain chemicals (serotonin?), it also will help you sleep. losing sleep always makes me feel so much worse!
