So, I'm new. I'm like three days old, as far as this site is concerned.
You probably want a list of what's wrong with me. XD I laugh when I'm nervous, btw, so don't think anything of all my haha's, lol's, or XD's.
None of these are diagnosed by a professional, I will be honest. I can't see a doctor, money is tight, and being a minor, I need an adult to make an appointment.
-Depression. Life circumstances and hereditary. Life kinda screwed me on that one.
-Anxiety. Just an unnatural uneasiness with being around people, particularly large groups of them.
-Relationship fun-ness. I've got a girl, we're together for a year the day after valentines.
-Home issues. This I should break down.
-Brother. He's younger. Don't let this fool you. He's ignorant, a bully, and the favorite. It sounds like sibling rivalry, but it's so much more.
-Parents. My parents are like, on the brink of getting divorced. My dad's in counseling for being sexually abused as a kid. He's diagnosed with depression, and is on meds. My mom was diagnosed with depression. She's also on meds. They practically refuse to take me to the doctor for the same things they're being treated for. I don't understand.
-School. School just sucks in general. I have no friends, except for my girlfriend. Nobody makes an effort anymore. I've gone back to sitting in the background of all social events.
-Theatre. Theatre is supposed to be this family, wholesome goodness fun that my school does. It's really fun, and I love the physicality of tech-ing. (That means I do the things you can't see backstage. Lights, sound, set, props, costumes, etc.) The only thing is, none of the other theatre kids invite my girlfriend or I to any hang outs. We never hear about them until after. Also, the theatre teacher hates us and we're pretty sure it's because we're a lesbian couple.

This is what is going on in my life. This is me, these are my challenges.

Welcome here Tala446. I'm sorry you are going through all that. You know homosexuality is also a psychological problem that can be treated. May you manage to get professional help. I wish all of your issues get sorted out. In case, you need to talk about your issues, i'm here.

Do you have a counselor at school that you can talk to? That might help some. Also, there are county health departments that either don't charge or charge on a sliding scale, since you said money is an issue. You could look into that and present the issue to your parents that way. They might be more amenable to getting you help if it doesn't cost too much.

Tala--I am very sorry your home life is so challenging with not much support there it seems. Could you talk to a school counselor/nurse?

as for being gay, I'm sorry you still have to face discrimination regarding who you naturally are. Let's hope the world continues to evolve to where what really matters is to be kind to each other.

My girlfriend talks to my school counselor. We've decided things would be weird if we both saw her.

Could you talk to your school counselor together? That will give you some support. If not, I'd see her anyway, as you definitely sound like you could use some help in coping. Most counselors are pretty good at keeping the issues of one client separate from the issues of another client. Plus, your partner probably can't take your issues and get help for them without you.
