In the past week I have been journaling about the difference between having "S" thoughts and believing in them.
I am trying to make good choices when I am in a bad spot. Trying to resist the bad thoughts and say "I don't think you are valid"

Today I made good choices. I listened to inspirational music, I went to visit my sister and niece.

I took care of me today. Now, that is a whole new concept!

That's so wonderful! I'm glad you are doing good things for yourself, you definitely deserve them!

I think that the more good things we do for ourselves, the better off we'll be. Keep up the good work!

Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long.

Thanks for the positive feed back.
I think it is time for me to start really using this "way of thinking" whenever deemed needed. I guess it is progress in a way.

((((Serenitys Wave)))))
Thanks for sharing that with me. Validates that my new concept is a good, healthy one. And, if it is helping me a little and it encouraged you to try it out then we must continue seeking the GOOD.
We both know it ain't going to whack depression out of our lives for good, but it puts us in the driver seat!
Take care!
And thanks again for sharing!

I am also working on avoiding the negative thoughts although I call them "R" thoughts for ruining my outlook thoughts. It is hard, definately a challenge. I have to look around me and realize things are'nt as bad as they once were.......I start a new job Friday and have a new boyfriend too. So things are'nt as bleak as they once were. Good luck with those "S" thoughts......I'm thinking of you. Having Vs. Believing: New concept for me
