Okay, so I guess I am just a very expressive person. But sometimes I wish I bottled myself up a little more. I want to share my ideas with people but I don't want people to think I am overemotional. I wish I could just be the quiet person like when I was a kid. It makes me hate myself.

thank you for your post. i can relate to how you are feeling now.please note- other ppl may not not see you as over-emotional. often it's our own perception of self. hope this helps!

Please feel free to ignore the questions. Do you have an idea why you feel guilty about expressing feelings? Do you have someone in your world with whom you can talk and freely express yourself?

I don't know why i feel guilty. Embarassment I guess. Part of me wants to be more outgoing while part of me wants to force myself to shutup.
Thanks for this!

I'm so sorry you have that self hate. I certainly can relate. I have worked hard to learn to accept myself, and have made some progress... I can say, without knowing you at all, that you are lovable and worthy. I hope you keep sharing on here and that you can learn to be more kind to yourself!
Thanks for this!
