I'm so sorry things are not going well for you right now. Did the meds used to work? Also, have you talked with your counselor about your thoughts of leaving counseling? I hope you feel better soon, thanks for posting!

They used to work. My dose has gone from 150 to 300. To see if that works for me but it doesn't. I think its cause I'm under more stress. I probably need a new counselor she bothers me and I disagree with her on a few things. I think I might have some other type of mental problems then just what they have.

Don't quit therapy, please!! If your meds aren't working, CALL YOUR DOCTOR -- there are OTHER meds that can be tried. Sometimes after we've been on our meds for awhile, they stop working and then we have to try a different kind. That happens to lots of people. So tell your doctor that your meds are NOT helping, and you need some help. Tell him your depression is bad, and something needs to be done. Don't be afraid to say something, ok? Depression can be serious, and he needs to help you.
Once you get your medications straightened around, therapy will be easier. Things will begin to work, and you'll feel better. Best of luck & God bless. Hugs, Lee |

Hi Shannon, first if u don't like you therapist U should definitely change and find one u really like and feel connected with. That can make such a big difference. Also, like Leed said, you can try a different med, cause they do stop working after awhile. Ur doc can also add a supplemental med to your depression med. That has worked for me. Just something to take the edge off like klonopin. I hope this helped and I hope u feel better
