I was just diagnosed with depression about two months ago even though I believe I had it for most of my life. I started going to see a counselor shortly after my roommates and I started to have many problems partly due to my depression but mostly because I mistakes I made. I lied to them and hurt their feelings. I also slammed doors and made them scared. Now, I am trying to make it up to them by going to counseling. It has been really hard though and I have begun to cut and think about death. I have reached out to talk to them, but they have ignored my apologizing and my trying to explain to them why I did what I did. They said that they wanted to be friends again in the future. But, they write hurtful things on facebook and other sites. What do I do? Are they worth it?

Jbaker sorry you are having to deal with this difficult situation. Only you can decide if they are worth being friends with. Sounds like they are being rather cold to you in a difficult time which is not a friend to me but that decision is for you to make. Right now i would focus on you as it sounds like you are really struggling. Keep posting we are here for you.
