The folks that I have worked with that were taking seroquel found it to be somewhat sedating, and they said that it helped somewhat on the day after (taking med at night). It was originally used as an antipsychotic but in 2008 it was approved by the US FDA for the treatment of Bipolar Disorder and Depression. I hope that it provides you with some relief.
Thanks for this!

Thanks regretful. Going up from 400mg to 600. Wish it did make me sleep, . Also on mirtazapine. Don't think the docs know what is right. They always want to Change.

I'm with Insideout - I have 25mg tabs and I take 1/4 - 1/2 before bed each night along with my anti depressant and such. It's a HUGE help. I have been actually using the brand name (Seroquel) and as soon as I run out of this one, the generic is waiting - I hope it works as well.

My mom was taking 200mg 2x daily for her BP. Not sure where she is with that now.

i have heard that there is a threshold of certain meds, and after a certain dose there is no real benefit from increasing the dose. seroquel xr has a max dose of 800mg.

I hope it works for you.
Thanks for this!
