horribly embarrassing and humiliating

I just got back from the movies. I go by myself sometimes. As if that isn't embarrassing in itself, I put down my purse on a seat next to some girls at the movies and went out to go get something to eat during the movie. When I came back, I saw a bunch of other girls in my seat. I kept asking where is my purse, they all acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. Everyone was staring at me like i was crazy.. finally someone down the row just tossed me my purse. I was so embarrassed. I guess they just threw my purse down somewhere and let someone else sit in my seat. I just left and found somewhere else to sit. It was so humiliating. I guess if you don't have friends.. you don't matter.

I'm sorry you were treated and affected that way for making a mistake. grrrr!

I just think they were very rude, and may have had nothing to do with having a friend with you or not.
Some people are just rude,thoughtless,ill bred and just plain old mean.
I'm sorry this happened to you. I think you are a cool person.

If it was me i would of went off on those punks that think they are better than everyone else. and let them know I am allredy on edge and dont care what happens anymore.

Ok ... they were bishes ... but sweetie ... don't EVER leave your purse anywhere unattended ... maybe I'm paranoid cos I have travelled a lot and I got my handbag snatched in Barcelona ... the INCONVENIENCE!!!!!!!!! But you sound like you are too nice and trusting, who cares if u lose your seat, you do NOT wanna lose your purse!! Such a hassle to replace things. IMO lucky someone did chuck it to you

I'd like to kick each and every one of their rude asses, but that wouldn't help alleviate the sadness that you feel over the incident, would it? It might not be the most effective or proper way to teach people to be considerate of others either.

At least they didn't swipe any of your things. If they did, I'd have no choice but to literally kick their asses.

I'm perplexed that you would be able to comfortably leave your purse behind in a theater. I guess you don't reside in New York City like I do. Not the point, of course, I understand.

I've kinda rambled on a bit too long and said things that probably aren't proper, so I'll get to the point that I wanted to make to you.

Some people are callous *%#holes. Don't let them bring you down. I believe disrespectful people have been hurt in many ways and I try to be understanding of them.

On second thought, to hell with them! There is no excuse for being rude and disrespectful to others like that!!!! Understanding my butt!!!!

I know I'm late on reading this but ppl. takking and then being jerks about it it later should get there what for. I'm glad nobody didnt take nothing from you. more suprised then anything(I lived in the bronx since I was 8 so that kind of thing happans alot. the cruelty was unnesesary

fyi. I just left a empty purse in my seat. I took my wallet with me. Nothing was inside my purse. I just wanted to keep my seat while I got something to eat.

Anyways.. its not important i guess. I really appreciate your kind thoughts.

May I counter this with positives that people have done for me? Like returning my purse to the store when I left it in the grocery cart and drove away. Or how about when I lost my wallet full of money at a K Mart and someone returned it to the service desk unharmed? Or the people who stop and help when I get a flat tire or Embarrassing, ran out of gas. Those people were very rude indeed and it was also illegal so I might have just told them I was going to the management and lodging a complaint.

You are a kind person. A great way to counter these horrible feelings we get when we are treated like crap is to reach out and be kind to others. Also smiling helps us even if we don't feel like it.

You seem to have many friends here.
