I've always been so quiet and reserved with my feelings I find it hard to write anything.
My Dad just called to let me know he's sending Mom (who is currently in a nursing home with dementia, depression and ?) to get an evaluation as she has been threatening people around her. This freaks me out cause I'm on meds for depression and I can see similarities between me & my Mom. ![]() |

Rabbit, I wouldn't worry sweetie. Depression is alot different than dementia, and just because she has depression (are you sure?) doesn't mean that YOU are going to end up like her.
So many people nowadays have depression -- and if we all thought we were going to end up with dementia, we'd all jump off a cliff! LOL So please don't worry about it Rabbit. I'm sure YOU will be just fine. ![]() Please take care of yourself Rabbit, and God bless. Hugs, Lee ![]()

First off, kudos for sharing. That takes a lot of courage. It also shows that you're willing to be proactive about your mental health. Second, Leed is right. Your mother's struggles will not necessarily manifest in you. The number one thing to do at this point is to stay in therapy and stay healthy. If you're doing all you can to prevent future issues, then you'll worry a lot less. You're going to be ok
