I feel miserable after finding out my exam grade in Psychology....now I can't get the thought of getting that lousy "C" out of my head. I hate myself...I'm such a failure to me and my parents...

This just means that you have a few loose ends. Try to figure out why you got the C and what you can do to improve on your next exam.

You got knocked down a bit so now it's time to get up better than ever! This is a learning experience and it can help you get better.

You did the BEST you could, under the circumstances. You cannot keep beating yourself up over this! You'll have other chances to bring your grade up. This isn't the only exam you'll have ~ you'll be able to bring that grade up with NO problem at all. Next time you're trying to study and there's a lot of "noise" going on at home,.go somewhere else to study! Even if you have to sit in the car or something -- just go somewhere else.

I'm sure you'll do just fine. You have a great head on your shoulders, and if you're used to getting A's & B's, then you'll have that grade up to at LEAST a B before long! Don't worry.

Hugs, Lee

I'm glad you talked with your mom. I often struggle with feeling like I let my mom down, when in reality I don't. Blessings to you. I hope you are feeling better.

We all get a C every so often. A client/employer isn't going to ask you what your grades were. They will want to know you can do your job and do it well :-) Something I need to tell myself :-) because I want A's however being obsessive about is part of what drove me into a major depression. I hope you can feel better soon

It was the final exam but it's okay! I got a 79.6 as a final grade. I was close to a B but that's alright. I tried! This is my first C in college so it doesn't hurt my GPA too much. :3

Thank you for the encouragement! :3

Aww I'm sorry to hear that you were struggling with that. I do, too sometimes. Especially under the circumstances that my brother just left all of us...

Thank you! Blessings to you, too! I feel much better thanks!

I feel happy knowing that I can come to this forum and get the encouragement I need. And hey, I got my fiancee to help me, too!

You're right. I gotta stop beating myself up about this. I gave it my all and that's all the matters. :3

I'm so sorry that you had struggled with major depression. How are you feeling?

I've been an employee and an employer. I've never had anyone look at my grades and I never felt the need to look at anyone's grades. People only wanted to know if I could do the job and that was the only thing I wondered about when hiring people.
Thanks for this!

There is nothing wrong with a C! - know I need to remind myself of that when I go back to school in the fall so I don't drive myself crazy!
