Hey Kelly5419,
You are right, you can't give up because of your son! I can relate, I have a daughter and I can't give up because of her either! Our kids need us in so many ways...and we have to be there for them!
I want to encourage you to look for anything positive you can find and hold on tight...your sons smile, his laugh, the way he calls you when he needs you...I have lots of pictures of my daughter on my phone and on facebook, so if I get down sometimes I will look at her pics and remember why I have to carry on, especially when I am feeling hopeless and lonely.

Hope this post helps you out! Have the BEST day you can Kelly!

One day at a time. You had the strength to write this message and that says a lot. You're reaching out for help. And it's a good thing that your son is important enough that you don't want to give up. Keep writing.

Thank you guys so much. It helps me just to hear from you and know that you care. My son does need me but he needs a mom that he doesn't have to worry about. I feel guilty every day because he knows I'm so depressed and I don't know how to comfort him and reasure him that its going to be ok. His dad comes over and verbally abuses me ( its also been physical in the past-that is why we live seperately now).. and I know how our fighting is affecting my son. I'm so desperately lonely though that I'd rather have him here but I have to think of what this is doing to us. If I wasnt so anxious to be alone...I need to get courage to live on my own. The anxiety is so incredible. Thanks for reading.
