I can't sleep. Once again.

This is getting ridiculous. All other times I've been depressed I've slept for hours upon hours. And I was fine with that (what can I say, I'm lazy!).

But noooooo... not this time.

My pattern is staying up until AT LEAST 3 am and then crashing for 1-8 hours. I've tried a lot of sleeping techniques (breathing, no caffeine, relaxing music, teas, hot showers, reading before bed etc) and it STILL WILL NOT WORK.

I just want sleep. In Search of the Elusive Sleep I can't keep taking out my bad mood on everyone around me, its making me want to become a hermit and stay the heck away from people for the rest of eternity. Or stay in bed. In Search of the Elusive Sleep

*sighs* Okay. Venting kapput.

Edit: Okay, I give up on sleep for tonight. Its 5:30 am, so what the heck is the point?? In Search of the Elusive Sleep

Canders, I know exactly how you feel In Search of the Elusive Sleep. I am having the exact same problem. This time last year all I did was stay in bed (for as long as I could with a baby lol) but now even if I only get 2 hrs sleep (I am averaging 2-6hrs a night) I can't catch up during the day. Over the weekend I tried 2x to go to bed, 1x with the beginnings of a migraine (prob from lack of sleep!!) but as you say, it was elusive. I hear you, and I sympathise with you, and I send you lots of good thoughts In Search of the Elusive Sleep. Heres to lots of good nights sleeps... I hope In Search of the Elusive Sleep

I hear ya loud and clear!

I can only sleep for 1-2 hours at a time and it's hard for me to get back to sleep.

Hang in there.

I have been through this. Perhaps you should get something from your doc to tide through this difficult time. Sleep deprivation is terrible and can totally wear you down mentally, emotionally and physically. If you do not want to take meds to help you sleep, you might like to look at something alternative such as melatonin.

I do hope by the time you check in here that you have managed to get some sleep!

Thanks everyone...

For some reason I managed to fall asleep and I'm only waking up now at 4pm.

In Search of the Elusive Sleep In Search of the Elusive Sleep This isn't fair. I just wanted some sleep, not to waste my entire day. I'm supposed to be studying for an exam on Friday! #*(@)&*(&!*&^(!#^&@# In Search of the Elusive Sleep
