I actually got out of the house this morning and went to another town that is a one-hour drive away today! I also made my bed, picked up my room, showered, and put away the dishes b4 we left!

Today was one of my slept-too-late days. I don't feel like doing anything but crawling back under the bed covers.

Instead, I told my 20-something son that I'm having a bad day and asked him to help keep me accountable for going out and getting a little sunshine this afternoon. Then, I immediately went in and took a shower--something that doesn't usually get done until late afternoon.

To anyone else, this probably sounds silly, but for me it was a real step in pushing forward. Baby steps. ;-)

Edited to add:
I think the OP's question is an important one! It is something I should ask myself every day! Thank you!!

Short term? Stopped the use of grains.

Long term? Stopped the use of caffeine

Next effort? Stop the use of sugar

I focused on something besides myself. It's hard to do, but when I am able, it really helps.

I recently found a new church. I met with the pastor today and we talked for two hours. He now has a fairly good abstract of me. I left there today feeling better than I did when I left my new therapist just the other day. What a wonderful man. I thank him for his time. He then said he was thanking me instead, that he felt blessed that I came to his church and that I came to him to talk with. Today is ending a lot better than it started, not great but all that bad.

It's always good to find someone new to be part of your support system! I've moved around a lot and getting used to a new group of people can be stressful. I hope this new church will be a good fit for you.

The only thing I can think of today is getting online for support and to work on some personal learning sites to build me up...
