Hello everyone, Im very nervous. On Monday I will go to see a pdoc for the first time. What can I expect. Im already having a meltdown just thinking about it. Any words of wisdom.

The first visit is usually more to get to know each other than anything. To discuss what is bothering you, and maybe start some meds.

Thanks Adam_K. I just think I may get worse seeing him. Have heard horror stories aboud meds and thats really bothering me.

Hi Pierro,
Yeah, the first meeting is often pretty low-key, though it's still easy to be triggered by it given the build-up. Do you have someone you can talk with about it afterwards? I saw a p-doc two weeks ago for the first time and she was super friendly and kind. She just asked me a series of questions about my symptoms, and then we discussed treatment options.
