For years now I've had ups and downs but over the last 2 years the lows are getting lower.Theres no light at the end of the tunnel and frankly, can I say I'm just sick of people saying it will get better. I'm on Lexapro and clonopin but when I get into such a low state, I 'm thinking of planning it all. You know what I mean. i'm getting so low. I'm afraid I'll do something stupid. I.m scared and tired of wakng up every morning and wishing I hadnt. Where do I go from here.

Do you have a psychotherapist to keep you safe? That you have your plans? Can you not go to emergency that your plans are ready?

You still go up.

Remember the depression tells you lies (that seem believable and true.)

You aren't always "this low" and will feel better again.

You might need your medicine increased or changed--CALL YOUR DOCTOR!

I'm having a tough go of life lately myself (after 26 years of permanent disability and pain issues). I recall how when in the deepest well, where there's no ambient light at all...except to look straight up... one can see the stars even in the middle of the day. LOOK UP.

May God strengthen you and keep you safe. You are loved hon.

It is PROBABLY that your medication isn't working anymore!!! Many times we become accommodated to our medication -- we get used to it. Then it just stops working, and we have to have it changed to another. This sounds like what's happening to you!!! And it's dangerous.

Talk to your doctor VERY SOON. If it ever happens again, and you notice that you're slipping lower and lower, call your doctor immediately. You don't want to get to this very low point again! Too many people dismiss depression as just something that can be 'fixed' easily. That's not true.

So please call your doctor as soon as you can, okay? And let us know what happens. My prayers are with you. Take care & God bless. Hugs, Lee
