Today was a challenge for me.
I am lonely & live isolated I don't know
if there is a subject or thread for that I always
scroll down to the bottom of the page to check out
the subjects but I don't remember finding that.
I'm having a very difficult time.
I don't have much in the way of support.
My Father is dead, having passed away in 2007.
I have no siblings.
All I have is my depressive elderly Mother who runs hot & cold
on me everyday. Its no fun talking with her either. All she talks about
is her Doctors appointments, her chronic pain. She is one big pain in the ***. And no fun whatsoever. It gets me really depressed on top of living in
dreary Washington State which had another DARK GREY day today.
One thing that makes me angry? Is some of the replies I get suggesting I call up some friends or family.
People of Psych Central!
I have no friends
My only living breathing family is my depressive elderly Mother.
Please stop saying or asking "Do you have any friends or family for support"? Because I don't! So please stop asking me. OK?
I'm having to do WITHOUT!
Any of you know what I'm saying?
That in itself gets me really DEPRESSED!
The depression leads me to get angry as well as frustrated.
So PLEASE! Know that not all of us are blessed with the same things as you.
It is so bad I literally don't look forward to even getting up in the morning.
Anyone know what I mean?
Hugs, support, is what I need.
Also P.M.s and friendship requests

Dear Tn'T, I'm so sorry you're having a bad day. I know what it is like to be alone and alienated. There seems to be a magic about connecting that I just never learned. The only antidote I know of is finding someone who needs help. I am in a situation where I am very limited in what I do and where I can go. This forum is the best thing I have ever found. I don't feel like such a weirdo and I can do something positive. It's all right here in my computer.
I hope that you can find solace here as well.
I don't have anything wise to give you but I hope you can find a little hope here also.

Hi ,
I don't come to this forum often so I don't know if you've told ur psych hx.
If you've been dx'd w/ depression are you on meds? If your on meds is its possible they may need to be adjusted.
Although I have family there in a different state. I created a support network. I joined two support groups. Over time i became close with two ppl. i also met ppl doing volunteer work for NAMI. I hope things get better. I had to get a med adjustment and I'm waiting for it to kick in.
