How can I not let matters and people affect me so easily (emotion) ? i already tried avoiding possible trigger and conflict. Sometimes I can't help getting angry and depress.

Over time I became increasingly stress-intolerant along with depression. I avoid stresses and take my meds. I'll practice deep, slow breathing if I haven't lost control of myself. Nevertheless, I've found nothing that allows me to keep going and behave "normally" once I've been triggered.

I'm sorry. I wish I had an answer, Penguinsing.

It's okay. It's nice to hear your sharing.

Hi penguin

Would it be so bad to accept that you are sensitive? The world needs sensitive people but I know it can be terribly painful. With each small wound you can heal, you heal the larger ones in time too, then the smaller things wont affect you so much. I wouldnt want you to dislike yourself because you're sensitive. I hope you can grow to accept who you are and how you feel to be as valid as anyone else who thinks what they feel is right for them. What you feel is right for you. The world needs all kinds. Love yourself, you truly are special and unique.

Hopefully, a member who has gone through CBT cognitive behaviour therapy can explain what's involved and you could decide whether it would help you. There are also workbooks that might help. But a PC member who has experience with CBT would be the most helpful.
Using the search function here at PC may also lead you to some answers.
