Ever notice how depression affects you physically?

I'm a horrible insomniac, but especially when I'm depressed (like now). I drag around with no energy, feeling like I weigh 1,000 lbs. I'm dragging (shuffling) my feet. Everything seems like too much effort. No stamina. Walking feels like I'm trudging through deep mud.

Just, overall, I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Exhausted

I wonder if I'll ever feel so light I could fly? Exhausted

yes.. depression and insomnia... buddies I think... and fatigue is the result... I know.. I have the same problem... I hate it for ya!

It truly does mess with the chemicals in our bodies.. depression does.. and it does zap us of our energy.... but I do feel the day will come when it wil be lifted and yes.. you wil be light enough to feel you can fly...just hang in there!

oh yes, depression destroys any energy i have. i find its worse when i start crying too, i get so exhausted i cannot even gather the energy to walk anywhere.

its because we spend so much energy battling these demons in our minds that it also uses our "everyday energy" used for getting from A to B, and thats why it feels like we have been hit by a convoy of trucks. i usually find it feels like someone has strapped 2 tons to my feet and i have to drag them with me wherever i go. when im at my worse emotionally, i find going up and down my stairs wears me out.

and yea, you can get the feeling where you feel you can fly, as i have experienced that. when everything feels so great and the weight is gone, it is great. although im not there now i know it will return someday, as it will for you.

good luck with it.

Yes, all great posts above. I feel like I'm sleepwalking or have just come out of a coma. Even my speech seems slow today.

It does get better, I know that. I've had such a great week but I don't undestand why I've dropped so low since Friday. I hope this is the 'darkest' before the dawn.

Exhausted Exhausted I'm not in it right now but i hate the no energy feeling. Sometimes a good cry helps release the stress of trying and not getting anywhere. Thinking of you all struggling right now and my heart is with you. Exhausted Exhausted Exhausted
