I really didn't realize how bad they are. It makes you very irritable not knowing what to do also depressed because I had surgical menopause since I was 26 the rest was taken out a couple of years ago wow the things our bodies go through.......... I wish they could find a new way on how to be able to cope with them......... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

If you are OK with herbal supplements, try black cohosh -- it does help some folks with these symptoms. I'm a male but have flashes in my sleep (night sweats) that I thought were due to the meds I was taking, but this has continued in spite of quitting the meds. Anyway maybe this would help you. Good luck.

I get them bad I feel like I am always in a sweat. Have to tie my hair back because I sweat so much. It is driving me crazy. I have started taking the black cohosh and it is helping I believe. I don't know what it is from meds or what? It has gotten better though. A few years back it was so bad I would wake up at night with my pillow soaked, thank goodness that has stopped. Now it just seems to be during the day and it is my head that sweats not under arms etc.. strange? I would try the black cohosh it can't hurt. I wish you the best.

Was you doctor able to give you any HRT? I read one can help with hot flashes.

I'm not there yet, it's looming for me, right now(finding out the date, on Tuesday)....I'll be around...however, bet I'll need some support here, too

Hi I have been taking estropiapate I think that is how you spell it. 0.75 mg plus I am taking an antidepressant zoloft 200mg , its supposed to help but when you just stand in one spot and just sweat it stinks, my clients that I work with said they can last a long time I sure hope not,

Perhaps your hormone replacement dose needs to be increased? You are very young to be hormonally deficient. Maybe you need a chat with your doctor.

There is a drug store product that works well for me. If you can adjust to sticky menthol cream, put in behind the knees, back of neck, on wrists and inside of elbows. It is a product used for pain, but the menthol is cooling. Sometimes called freeze, therapain, ice cold,etc.. Also I've heard in hot states alot of people carry a spray bottle of water. To get a really small one, I buy body spray at the drug store and empty in,replace with water. Also I never leave home without my matching wet bandana in a ziplock bag, to wrap around my neck. Refreshen in any washroom.
