Some days I'm just so tired of being depressed. I always want to feel something else. I want to feel happy! Why can't I? What's wrong that I can't be happy?

I feel the same way. I would love to feel happy again. I can barely remember how it feels but i know it was better than this. To enjoy doing things again would be wonderful. I love to quilt but when I'm depressed, which has been for the last nine months, I can't get up the energy to work on anything. Be glad when they get the meds right. Hope you feel better soon.

Im sorry that depression is robbing you of your happiness. Do you have any fond memories of a happier time that you could reflect on that could bring you a little bit of peace? Do you get momentary joy out of funny movies, do you have a favorite that always makes you laugh? Can you read a good book and escape the sadness for a little while? Just feel the warmth of the sunshine on your skin? Get a coloring book and crayons and reexperience that simple joy? Any of these things, if only for a brief moment?

I don't like remembering nice times because it only makes the loss of them sting worse.
I do escape through movies and books, which is nice. But it's starting to feel like I live in a fantasy world. I have to escape into movies and books just to escape every ten minutes. It's like Novocaine. I don't know how long I can thrive on fantasy stories though ![]() |

Just in pain and feeling alone. I just really want to die. If someone, anyone, stabbed me to death right now, I'd give them a kiss in the afterlife.

I go through cycles where I have literally played that exact scenario over and over again, just thinking, can it be that easy to just let go? You're not alone Princess, Superhug from me!

It sucks when depression hurts so deeply. I hate when I get far down into my depression and I feel that way too. For me it's a crazy ride. I feel your pain. I do hope you feel better very soon.

You can, just stay here and talk it out. Feel free to PM me anytime if you ever need to talk.

There's nothing to really talk about. I can't really think of anything to complain about. It's just the way it is.

A thing I really love to do is run, but when I'm depressed I'm so tired and achy, I barely get through a mile. Yesterday I went for a bike ride and was so depressed I thought well maybe I'll crash my bike and not make it. After 3 short miles I just went home. I have a son and no matter how I feel inside I have to smile for him. I pray that this horrid disease be cured from us all! I work in a hospital and sometimes feel ashamed when I feel bad, but then I think I have a hidden disease I guess. Nobody can physically see anything wrong so it's assumed nothing is wrong.
