I am a big believer in the power of laughter to help lift me up. I have been sharing some laughable videos with Belle the last couple of days and I thought it would make a good thread.

Please share video clips or pics that make you laugh. I suppose some might say I should put this in a different forum but hopefully you will appreciate why I opted to do it here in the depression forum.

I will start with one of my all time favourite standbys when I need a good laugh... it still makes me laugh till I cry. Enjoy...

Thanks for this!

Sanityseeker,
Thanks for sharing - you do feel a bit better after a hysterical out of control laughing fit.

I will I could smile and laugh more often.

Hi Amanda... I know what you mean. All the more reason to seek out those things that will pull some laughter out of us. I seldom can generate much laughter on my own. I used to be so funny. Not so much anymore. But I still appreciate a good ol' belly laugh now and then.

Wish you well with many moments of laughter today.

oh... speaking of smiles. Do you ever stop to notice how just putting a smile on your face... even if forced and totally out of sync with how you 'feel' has a magical way of making you feel better. Amazing actually. Try it... just smile and see if it doesn't somehow magically change you in that instant. Wierd hey? lol hahahahahahaha

I should add another step in the exercise. Take that smile to the mirror and let it grow bigger and bigger and bigger still and push it to laughing. Just laugh and laugh and laugh. Magic!!

Watching that makes me wish so much more I had a passion for something. Or that much energy.

I like this thread. I forced myself to call my friend to come over and watch 30 Rock with me even though I was in tears when I called her--it worked at least some.
Also, I once did a dance to the make 'em laugh song and it made me double-smile to watch the video and have good memories.

I know what you mean Septum about wanting the passion and energy to get excited about life. I used to have all that in spades and grief the loss. I hope some laughter provides good medicine for you. Reminds me of a favourite quote: Don't just weather the storm but learn to dance in the rain. Suggests some value to keeping it light. When life has us by the short hairs it is tough to keep it light yet life keeps showing us the value.

Wishing you well and it is nice to see you posting. Take good care.

Good on you Tamale.... I can relate to how hard that would be. I am glad it worked if even just a little bit. Its that much less pain you had to manage.

Good memories... good medicine. Glad the video brought it forward for you.

Keep well.

Thanks a long way.... for adding to the collections here. Tiny Tim is such a hoot! Yea... the shooting monkey isn't so much my taste but for some who see the humour I guess its funny. Nice to see the mix up just the same.

Wishing you all a good day.

Thanks ((Sanity Seeker)) for the laughs. Now it's time for some gross humour, the first time I saw this I thought I was going to blow an artery and I had tears streaming down my face:

hahaha... that is funny Lynn. Thanks. I am doing a lot of laugh humour today trying to shake off yesterdays high drama.

Have a good day.
