I have my first therapy appointment on Friday. I am afraid because there is a major part of my life that I have only shared with one person. She just flat out told me I need to go. As we are talking today she informed she seen the same therapist I am going to and she did not feel she helped her at all. So she just stopped going. so that leaves me feeling some kind of way about the therapist. Hoping for the best but sharing my issues has never been easy so I guess there will be no disappointment if I am not comfortable.

Hello & Welcome, QueenCopper.

I imagine no therapist is good for every person or for every problem. Finding the right therapist who is both
  • right for you, and
  • right for your unique history/challenge
may require time. Though good therapy can involve discomfort, the therapist is ideally exists to serve and help you, not boss you.

Wishing you eventual success in locating the right professional.
