I am doing better in that I am not really sad and not crying but I have no motivation. When I am at work I am really just reading these forums on my phone and not working. When I am home I just lie in bed and watch bad tv. How do I get back to going to the gym and being productive at work? Or is this as good as it gets because I am not distraught?

I don't know how you manage to be on your phone at work! What is your job? Is there nothing you like about it?

I cannot work like I used to, so I always envy those that can.

As far as going to the gym, it will take an effort, you will have to force yourself to go at 1st. Maybe if you could find someone to be your exercise buddy for a while. I have a new friend who wants to walk together, so I am forced to get going even when I don't feel like it. It helps me get out of my own head for awhile.
Maybe something like that would work for you...

One book that I like is called "Get It Done when You're Depressed." It talks about how to get yourself to do things when there's no motivation. Also, if you are seeing a therapist, I would suggest talking to him/her about it.

I am afraid I am going to screw up my job and then I am in big trouble. It took me 2 years to find this job and I have no one to help support me if I lose it. I need to get focused!

This is not as good as it gets. You can get the motivation, it is possible. One day I was really bored and class and wrote out a list of motivating things and actually felt a lot better for a little while.
Thanks for this!

One other thing. I started taking well Wellbutrin two weeks ago. I am assuming that helped lift the sadness. Do you think that is its effect or will it keep doing more and help with the motivation too?

Not sure if it will do more, but lifting the sadness is Huge all by itself. Give yourself a pat on the back for this! It is a plus that you are thinking in these terms and know you need to get going on some things. I have had very good luck with Wellbutrin in the past, it sounds like you will too.

I know a lot of you would be thrilled to be in my state. I was pretty bad before this so I understand and appreciate it. I empathize with those of you who where I was.
