I stopped taking my meds a while ago. Antidepressants. Antipsychotics. They're poison I know it they're out to get me.

Alcohol is what I crave. Alcohol makes me feel better. I'm happy on alcohol. Yay alcohol.

I've had a few already. Whee.

Alcohol is not the answer! Meds are there to help you long term. Alcohol is only there temporary.

Alcohol is a med in a way. In low doses it does actually make u feel better but it's hard to stop at a little. In the long run alcohol will get u more depressed if you stop your meds. Also it exaggerates reality. If your prong to hallucinate you will even more.

Now about the meds. I will agree that not all meds are for everyone! I did not like any of the antidepressants I tried until I got to Wellbutrin. I too don't like to feel dopey, tired, no energy, etc., I need to be fully functional. May be your the same way too? Let your doc know, there are many different meds to try and if your pdoc understands why you don't like the meds perhaps he/she can find some more to your liking. But no meds and just alcohol is just plain dangerous for us.

I self-medicated with alcohol for 20 some odd years. Now I am being treated with Wellbutrin,Effexor, Abilify, and vistaril. After years of therapy, some dreadful meds, I am finally able to function most of the time. I can't believe I don't have cravings. alcohol nearly killed me several times. My health has suffered. Alcohol is a toxin to the body. I am extremely grateful for what little I have left. Please think hard about drinking.

My doctor convinced me to take my antidepressants again. I'm not sure about the antipsychotic though. I still don't trust it.

I drank again tonight but not nearly as much as previous nights. It's 10pm and I'm not passed out so that's good...

I don't know. I still crave alcohol. I have to keep a clear head though.

Oh, yeah--alcohol is not poison. That's why my grandmother and 2nd husband died from alcohol poisoning: because it's so "not" poison! That's why my 77 year old mother, who's been drinking since she was 15 and is still drunk all the time, has a pickled brain with a mentality of a 15 year old: because alcohol is so "not" poisonous!

I know what you're trying to say and I'm sorry, but my reference to my medication being poison has to do with my paranoia and delusional behavior such as thinking (knowing) that hair dye is full of microbots that get into your brain so THEY can hear your thoughts.

Alcohol is bad, I know. Unfortunately I have a problem with bad things.

My brother died from alcohol last year at the age of 43. Please dont do it especially if you are inclined to lean on it. It kills the whole family. Please think about it or at least talk to somebody that you trust. I wish you all the best and the strength to fight it.
