im a 20 year old male and just this past weekend, i went to a strip club with some of my guy friends. while we were there, they were all having the time of their lives, and i just felt depressed. i never typically liked the same things "men" do like football and just looking at every woman that walks by, and i think it's hindering my enjoyment of life. i want to go out and party and just be a guy, but i just cant break this shell of just being a man who would rather talk about his feelings than just have fun.

Trust me a lot of women are going to appreciate you much more than guys who like football and strip clubs.

I am all man. No where in the rule books does it say we are all suppose to be the same
![]() I hate strip clubs! I feel like a hungry cat starring at a bird in the cage. I never could understand what the attraction was to be teased. You can look but not touch? Not my idea of fun or entertainment at all. Also 90% of my male friends get off in a big way looking at girls on girls. I find it totally repulsive and does nothing to excite me. I prefer male on female. I also am not in to sharing too. I hate sports too. I find that most men turn in to immature little boys watching sports. While I can endure the event and fake it if I have too, who can't act like a 10 year old if they have to? Again not my idea of fun or entertainment. Don't be put off for being different. Embrace it and be proud of it!

Then stop going to strip clubs. Be one or the other, but don't play pretend.

thats the problem though. because im still very VERY young i feel like i should be going out and just having fun instead of taking things seriously, and whenever i try to do that the REAL me is always in the back of my head saying "this isnt you." in short i feel like im missing out on a huge part of life with the way my personality actually IS versus what i would WANT it to be.

Gender is often just as fluid as sexuality. I feel we shouldn't give into the binaries. And if you want perfect honesty, you would probably feel better about yourself if you stopped worrying about being like other men and instead just be yourself. I know it sounds like cliche advice. And it probably is. But it's true.
Not all men fit into one category. Not all women fit into one category. Not even all people on the "other" end of the gender spectrum fit into one category. We are all as different as the year is long. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
