Its very hard for me to really really discipline my boy. When ever i do i feel like a bad mother and then it just give my depression more to feed on. Feeling that they would be better with another mom. I know i am his mom And only me but i just feel so worthless and then all the bad thoughts starts again. Will i get past this?

How do you discipline your child? How old is your child?
The most important thing is that you love your child, give them affection and provide them with a consistent, stable environment. If you are persistently having thoughts of your own worthlessness, and mostly in a bad/negative mood, then you should definitely get some professional help! |

not that my mother was the perfect model..... but I recall as a kid pretty much every time I "got the belt" - right after that I would go up to my room and I could hear my mother sobbing in the bathroom.
Let me tell you - the spanking did not hurt me as much as knowing that I made my mother cry. Point being - kids are smarter and more observant than a lot of us old people think they are. Hang in there - I sincerely think you can do this. |
