I am very sad, my mom just passed away. It was 2 am when they called me from the hospital. I had been the whole day there. I was granted visiting her twice, I was inside the diagnosis unit 2 hours and a half in the morning, then, afternoon, I allow for my brother and nephew to enter the room, but they did not stay much with her. I am sorry I could have stayed more as I have more patience than them. I just hope she was not feeling alone when she passed away. i am so sorry she had to witness all the stressful situation with my brother the last year. I tried to explain to her he was mentally ill. But I was not always graceful, I was not always gentle. I had too much on my shoulders and sometimes I was upset towards her. And she was ill. I could have been better, perhaps, if I would have gotten more help. Lastly, I was remembering how nervous she was during my infancy and how she could not stop yelling at me. I did not think that I was revenging but understood first time that she could not make it better. Perhaps, like me now.

I'm sorry your mother passed away, you must feel so sad. Death is a hard thing to handle, even sometimes when we don't know the person, but i'm sure your mom was pleased with you being at the hospital too. I didn't know her, but it affects me too as i will be praying for you to better handle this and also our Maker will be with her now instead. Just let her go, in your heart as she is in a better place, and one where there is peace, and joy. I can hear the Angels singing already!!!!
Thanks for this!

I am sorry to hear you lost your mother. I know what a sadness that loss brings. My mother died 10 years ago this month. I had been with her the whole day and when I left to rest at home for a while, she died. I felt so guilty for a while for leaving but I don't dwell on it now. I, like you, wondered if I was patient enough, loving enough, etc. It is common for people to do that. Now I just miss my mother from time to time but I don't beat myself up anymore about how I handled her illness and death.

Hugs to you. I hope you have some support people at this time to hold you up when you are feeling low.

Clara, I am so sorry for your mother's passing. We always feel we could have done that little bit more. I lost my mother 11 years ago and felt guilty for so long for not being there for her enough. Now, I remember the great laughs that we had together.I hope in time you can remember the good times you had together, after all at the end of the day that's all we have is memories. Best wishes

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. It's always a devastating loss.
I lost my mom a few years ago so I know how it feels.
I wish I could say that time will heal your pain but truth be told it never completely does. Instead you learn to cope with it.
Again, I'm so sorry and if you ever want to talk or vent, then feel free to pm me.
Thanks for this!

I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. Mine died 4 years ago and it still hurts. I, too, had spent all day with her, and went home to get some rest and she died alone. I still feel guilty. I just hope she went peacefully. It will take time to work through your grief. I'm sure your mom new you loved her.

So sorry to hear about your loss, but I think it's easy to remember what we could of done after we have lost someone, I know when I lost someone close to me it was easier to remember what I could've done. But truth is your mum would of known the time you were there. I hope that you find peace in this hard time
