I can never focus or enjoy anything anymore. It just seems that nothing is worth ir anymore. It includes eating and sleeping. I've been getting less eat and sleep than ever before and i think it's getting worse. It's effected my school grades and my social life. I dont think I have one. Someone help me I dont think I can take it anymore. Each day seems to get longer and longer...

Those are all things that happen with depression. We can sympathize with you, as we've been there too (I have, anyway), but you need to get medical treatment. It will get better, but maybe not by itself.

sunshine i hope you can seek some help for this with a doctor and/or therapy.
what you describe are textbook symptoms of depression. change in sleeping patterns, change in eating patterns, unable to enjoy things that you used to (probably contributing to your decline in "social life"), lack of concentration (probably effecting your grades as is the lack of sleep) and urge to isolate (also probably effecting your social life) The first thing to do if you haven't already is to seek help and get a proper diagnosis, and see if you are truly suffering from depression or something related. If you are you can take comfort in knowing that those symptoms are part of the illness and are not a "character trait" or something you are doing wrong. You can also have hope because depression can be treated and with treatment you can get back on track with all the things that are sliding away now. Please try to find some help with this and continue to post here for understanding and support. We can give some advice based on experience but it requires a trained professional to make a proper diagnosis and to start you on the right road for treatment. good luck -- The world is what we make of it -- -- Dave -- http://www.idexter.com __________________ ------------------------------------ -- -- The world is what we make of it -- -- Dave -- www.idexter.com |

Hi sunshine, I know what that's like. Just keep fighting it. Is there anything going on that might be making you feel like that? If you want to talk please feel free to post. Believe me, I know that life isn't easy and sometimes some events can cause us to believe other events are worse than they are. It helps to talk, if not here, then maybe you should get a therapist or something... although i don't know much about therapists as i'm still trying to figure things out too.
