Something positive I did today:

I reached out to someone "new" (elsewhere)

Feel free to add to this

I volunteer in the kitchen each morning at an interim housing program in downtown San Diego. It helps me in that it has kept me active, positive and feeling useful while out of work and not focusing so much on my depression, even though it's tough at times. I'll be cutting back on my time there soon though, since I'm starting a new job soon.
Thanks for this!

First things first ((Fuzzy)) I'm glad for you.

I helped a friend make it through a rough day at work by just being available to her when she needed an ear.
Thanks for this!

I just found the post "define happiness!!" for a minute it made me think of what happiness is and maybe held the clouds back to show a glimpse of what may someday be.

I drank water instead of beer, I gave it my all at work like I always do.

This made me smile.

The wife has taken to going on line and reading up... as such she's decided that 'we're going to have you achieve at least something each day'... and I now have the responsibility of giving our dog an evening meal each day.

Done.

Ok, an actual proper positive... received a text from the wife just before finishing work saying she'd had a bad day and that she hoped I was ok as she was feeling low.

So, I went and bought her flowers (I don't do that often enough... I should really)... she came home... saw the flowers and burst into tears (at which point the 'oh crap' phrase was rattling about my head) and then proceeded to hug me and cry.

Wasn't quite the reaction I was expecting but it was a good release for her and I hope (think) she knows how much I love her.

So yeah...
