Early this year I took the AQ (Autism/Aspergers Quotient) test on this site. It was a complete whim. I had no idea about these things. It is a quick screening test, just a few minutes. I got a high score, well into the Aspergers range. It was a WTF moment.
It has been a long and arduous self exploration since then. I have learned I have been affected by Aspergers my entire life. It has been the root cause of almost every suffering issue. The test is here on this site: Autism / Asperger's Quiz Be warned that a few of you will get high scores. If you do, redo the test paying very careful attention to your answers. Report yourself as accurately as possible. Finally, a strong caveat: A high score is likely to change your life and it won't be easy.

I always pay close attention to my answers. I answer to the best of my ability. I always score really, really high. Always 40+. I have not spoken to anyone about getting officially tested. Sometimes, I think I'd rather not know for sure, you know? I am kind of irked by my psychiatrist though. He literally asked me.. .like three questions about how I am socially and assumed Avoidant PD. I thought at first, maybe he was right. But everyone who knows me well insists that it does not fit me at all (seriously, one of the symptoms listed has to do with affection... I loathe affection). My mom skimmed Asperger's online and said Oh my god, that's you. So, I don't know anymore. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Maybe one day I'll get officially tested. Maybe.

That test sort of misses my true symptoms of Asperger's. I have AS and test within the normal range.

Got a 33, but the thing with tests like this is anticipating the difference strongly and slightly agree/disagree means.
As such I can't see how tests like this are really that good a tell on stuff

I'm currently being assessed for Aspergers, among other things. I scored around 37 on the AQ test.
The RAADS-R test is more detailed, you can do it here: Aspie tests The tests are for screening to see if you need a closer look, not to diagnose you.

I first scored 36. A few minutes later 37.
I then located and did similar assessments that can be easily found. Can get you links if you like. These are the same tests used by professionals. Of course they are doing it with you and discussing the questions and answers with you to get a better read on your mind functionality. All my results consistent. High Aspergers. Commenced to do thorough personal history self assessment, and by face to face time with parents and siblings. Spent months of studying the folklore and the science of Aspergers. I just read and recommend the most excellent The Complete guide to Asperger's syndrome by Tony Attwood (2007). It painted color into my mental history, filling in the confabulations with evidence of hard facts. This self discovery is bewildering. Be grateful for a well functioning brain.

I liked that test better, but still I didn't even reach the numbers (almost did) for suspected ASD. Sigh.

I don't remember my score but it said that Asperger's was likely.
It's strange. My cousin (younger than me) has autism. Maybe something like that runs in my father's side of the family? Well, I show a few symptoms, but none of them are very extensive. The main thing with me is eye contact. Unless I know you very, very well, I can't hole eye contact with you for more than a few seconds. And I have trouble with emotions, but that might go along with a couple of other things. I never experienced any delays in learning. I was always quick with that.

I'm getting officially assessed for Asperger's in March or so next year (by then I will have waited for the assessment for about 1.5 year). I've taken the test online before and a similar test at a psychologist's office. I've scored between 38 and 42 each time. While that's indeed a very high score I'm pretty sure the AQ-test alone can't tell you whether or not you've got Asperger's. Sure, it's probably more likely that you might be on the autism spectrum if you do get a high score but in order to really know I reckon you have to get tested, read up on it a lot etc. You seem to have read a lot about it. Have you thought about getting officially assessed?
I mean, I possess a lot of traits commonly found in people with Asperger's but I'm really not sure I have it. I might just as well "just" be very introverted, quirky, science-loving, noise-hating, socially anxious, rigid and a creature of habit (etc). Do you know what I mean?
